What we delivered

  • Adaptive AI-driven VR training platform (ACSIP)
  • Seven training modules covering core IPC domains
  • High-fidelity digital twin of an SGH ward
  • Real-time performance analytics & personalised coaching feedback

The challenge

Infection prevention in a busy hospital setting depends on the habits of every person on the ward, not just policy on paper. When Singapore General Hospital, one of Asia's largest and most complex acute care institutions, looked to move beyond conventional classroom-based training, they partnered with us to build something more rigorous and more scalable.

Unlike traditional e-learning that tests knowledge in isolation, ACSIP validates competency through immersive scenarios where learners must maintain correct practice whilst managing the interruptions, competing demands, and time pressures that characterise actual ward environments.

The solution

We designed a purpose-built XR training platform replicating real SGH ward environments: the layout, the equipment, the pressure of a working clinical setting. Staff rehearse correct infection prevention procedure inside those simulations, receiving real-time feedback on technique and decision-making, without any patient risk and without pulling clinical teams off the floor for extended periods.

The platform comprises seven training modules covering core infection prevention domains. A dual AI system creates dynamic, non-repeating experiences and delivers personalised coaching feedback. The virtual environment is a high-fidelity digital twin of an SGH ward, designed to achieve immediate recognition and acceptance from clinical staff.

Adaptive performance analytics

Our system analyses performance data in real-time, adjusting training to match each individual's learning curve for optimal engagement.

VR training provides personalised feedback that identifies specific errors, offering targeted correction in the moment, rather than pooling everyone through a single static curriculum. The platform scales: from new joiners through to senior clinicians refreshing technique under realistic load.

Intended outcomes

ACSIP is engineered to deliver measurable lift across the metrics that infection prevention teams actually care about, knowledge acquisition, time to competency, observed protocol compliance, and long-term retention, turning a once-a-year compliance exercise into an always-on capability the ward can rely on.
